It's important to make a conncetion so the prospect feels comfortable talking - by listening and really paying attention you may be able to determine if your school is a good fit

An Admissions Representative quite often has to dig deep in their questions to bring to the surface what the students wants and needs are, and help put together a plan to help the student.

I learned from this module the different listening techniques. Effective listening helps you to understand the students needs and figure out what is best to offer for them.

Being an active listener helps you to better understand your student's individual situation and how you might assist them to be successful in your program or figure out if this is the right program for them.

It's good to know where our students are coming from, in order for you to understand your candidates cultures.

It is always to know where a student comes from and what the current situation is about.  This better helps you assist the student and their needs when obtaining knowledge and information about their potential school.
