Arthur,
If the message received from Admissions and Faculty shares the same core it helps the student with their commitment.
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
100% correct. Admissions may sell the student on the idea, the vision. Faculty keeps the dream alive within the classroom enviornment. But its the student with their commitment to succeed and the support around them are the true engine of success.
Robert,
Even in this day of increased use f the internet for the delivery of education there remains great value in the student coming to campus.
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Retention starts on campus is so true! The students will evaluate the program they are involved in based on a variety of factors, including the teachers concern for the students ability to grasp the coursework, the ties to the outside community to gain employment for the student, the administartion of the school and the number of people able to assist the student with their individual nedds, as well as the cirriculum, and its relevency the the future of the students employment success.
Bertha,
Yes. And even if you hear the same stories the issue is unique to each student.
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Most definitely! We, in all departments, need to assist in the retention of students. They are the reason we are here. Every situation is different and need to be evaluated separately.
Rick,
Absolutely. Retention takes care and feeding on an everyday basis. Everyone has to have each other's back.
