Room for Error

In my classes I open the floor for my students to see, know and understand that I am not perfect. I may not pronounce every word correctly or may have spoken incorrectly. I allow my students to correct me, or even pronounce the word that I may have issues with. I find that this keeps their minds on the topics and engaged in helping me with the lecture. As we all know we have one or two students in the class, "who feels" they know it all, so I call on them to help assist. At the same time, I show the students who may be weak in speaking skills, or reading skills that its okay to be shy, or not perfect, but you have to do your best and don't be afraid to ask for help.
