For my admission training I have 2.5 options:

The first one I have is a compliance binder (the traditional training manual from the institution). At the end of this binder I start adding different tabs in order to make sure I am following up with the process as is. The “.5” is that I add to that binder loose sheets so I can use them as notebook.

The other tool I use which is amazing is a spiral subject notebook. Why spiral? That way I can organize notes in order of dates/months (i.e. January through April will be in that first division). What work for me (my motivation) is Hello Kitty and the color pink. So all my notebooks and binder are in combination with that. It makes it synchronized in color and organization.

Now, once a month I go personally to the state website to just check if there are any new changes/updates and normally will discuss that with my Director. Now, in the past, I used to work for another institution that had 1 key point person to put us up to speed, however this lead to delayed information. With that learned, I just took it upon myself to verify it each month.
