After spending my learning years in a college and going to large student populations I understand your comment of missing the one on one approach. That one on one contact with the students and/or parents is a great experience and allows you to build trust with your students. I encourage you to find a way to periodically spend some one on one time with your students, even if it is going to the breakroom/student lounge once a week. You really learn so much about that the students' experience in those one on one conversations.
