Lisa, Identifying errors and getting this corected timely is critical for maintaining compliance in financial aid report. Do you have Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) that allow you to inspect and determine if any errors have occurred? SOP's are a great way to outline your review and determination of error process as it relates to reporting. Sincerely, Chyrl
Lisa, I agree with your comments related to the value of all 3 aspects of a Financial Aid Office. It is important that students feel engaged in the process through timely and accurately processing. Best wishes in your continued online educational process. Sincerely, Chyrl
Melissa, There really is no right or wrong answer to this question since all elements are necessary to have a successful department and happy studnets. If a campus is delivering good customer service to their students, the students will be willing to provide information in a timely and accurate manner. Also, it will enable the campus to staff to interact with the students in a positive manner. I apologize for my delayed response but I have been traveling the over the last few days. Best wishes to you on your continued education online. Sincerely, Chyrl
William, All three items are important to the overal success of the FA Office and the student's experience. Based on your response I would thnk your students are experiencing a timely and accurate FA process. Best of luck in your continued online education process. Sincerely, Chyrl
Caitlin, All three aspects are important to a successful operating fiancial aid office. If you are delivering quality service then the rest should fall into place - accuracy and timeliness. Taking care of the customer and providing the assistance necessary speaks well of any FA Office. Sincerely, Chyrl
Caitlin, Your points of action are the correct ones to attack. It has been my experienced the more organized and streamlined student FA files appear the smoother and audit or review will go. It provides a visual booster of confidence on how the students are processed in the Financial Aid Department. sincerely, Chyrl
Kathleen, It is important to make the student and their family feel comfortable with the FA experience. The more comfortable a parent and/or a student is with the process the greater the opportunity for success. A satisfied customer is ore likely to refer others to the campus. Best wishes in your continued success in online FA education. Sincerely, Chyrl
Edith, This is another good point about the characteristics of Financial Aid and how each aid administrator should approach the goals of their office. It is imperative that all of the staff understands that accuracy and timeliness goes hand and hand in delivery of good customer service. All students deserve our complete focus on their financial aid process to insure the success of the student. Sincerely, Chyrl

Edith, Applying to college may be stressful to students and it is necessary to work with the students to ease any apprehension toward the overall process of enrollment. In addition to this stress, there will be the stress associated with Financial Aid. Most students have little knowledge of the process and anything that reduces the lack of knowledge will increase the student's comfort-level with the process. The smoother and more confident the FA staff appears the more the student will open up and get comfortable with the process. Best wishes to you in your continued education through the online process… >>>

Michelle, I am in complete agreement with you about making a mistake and how one error may affect your students confidence in you and the FA process. The key to any successful process is to balance the important aspects and to know which one is more important at different points. Accurate, timeliness and strong customer service must co-exist in a truly successful FA Office. Sincerely, Chyrl
