Cynthia, Transparency is not an option in Texas, the complaint procedures must be posted in a conspicuous place for students to see. Providing transparency, even when it is not mandated, in regard to student complaints sends a message that the institution is proud of what they offer and have nothing to hide. Cindy Bryant

While not everyone is a believer in rehashing past experiences it has proven to be very helpful in creating a better environment for students. James, Sending emails are a great way to communicate. However an email is a passive method of communication that does not require the recipient to respond unless specifically requested. From a compliance standpoint students should be required to acknowledge understanding of the information disseminated. Cindy Bryant
