Activity

Robert, Truthful talk about the workplace allows the student to keep a focus on the end goal. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Jacqueline, OR provide product knowledge to the admissions department and clarify the message. What the Admissions person should say is, "We know life gets in they way sometimes and you might miss a class. Let your professor know ahead of time". Similar content, clearer expectation. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Jamie, Hopefully the events are well attended. This does help the students see the school more as a community. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Jennifer, This is as it should be. They chose the school for the career opportunity. This should be a focus from day one. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Jamie, This is great. Students should be encouraged to revisit their resume after each course and add one skill they mastered. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Jamie, I like the one-on-one with the program chairs. Better than a "talking head" presentation. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
David, For any class size break the students into groups. For a size of 8 splitting into groups of 4 are sufficient. Allow for some peer-to-peer learning. Let those who grasp quickly help the other students. We all know it is not about completing the task but about mastering a skill. Retention of information is at its highest level when students are teaching each other. Then you focus on guiding the students when you see them veer off course. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Beth, Yes, the handout allows people to go at their pace. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Cheryl, Thank you for your post. This will help students prepare for their career earlier. Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Cheryl, What activities went into spirit week? Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
