About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Olga, Good way to blend application and relevancy into your instructional delivery. This way you are creating value for your students in terms of the content you are sharing and how it can be used in their daily lives. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Andrea, You make a number of good points about how different learning tools can be used by students. I find that many students are coming to college without good note taking and sequencing skills in relation to their study skills. They need to use these types of tools in order to grasp the key concepts and be successful in capturing the essential elements of what has been covered that day. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Robert, Not sure what you mean by this. Can you expand on this point? Thanks. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
