Lisa, I think an extreme case could lose Title IV and close a school. We set policies and proceedures to safeguard our students, faculty and staff information. What one person can do can drastically impact all their associates as well as all the students. This training is dedicated to informing all of our associates that they have a role to play in safeguarding personal information. James Faulkner

David,Do you think that superlatives are also used when an associate is not sure of the correct answer? We all need to remember that it is OK to say "I don't have that information" or "I don't know" but we can "Find out for you". James Faulkner

Arleen, Inducements and monetary reward systems have seen increased compliance regulations and audit reviews in the past few years. It affects associate reward systems for performance, particularly in the areas of admissions and financial aid. Bonuses, paid dinners and perforamnce evaluation systems have changed to ensure compliance regulations are met. Associates like myself remember the pre-compliance years at different corporations/schools we worked. While it is sometimes difficult to understand all the nuances of compliance it has become necessary for those of us who want to professionally pursue our vocations. James Faulkner

Lisa,I think the admissions positions are some of the most challenging roles at a for-profit school. The regulatory burden is very high and measured by what is said and how the prospective student perceives what is said. Catalogs, addendums, disclosure forms and set presentations document what a student is told and greatly reduces the prospective student's ability to misconstrue what is being said. We examine state, federal and accreditation compliance rules and incorporate them into the materials and enrollment agreement to get an end result that meets or exceeds the compliance standards. Arleen, I think all of our associate's credibility is important. What one associate does reflects on us all. Of course the most important loss is the education and better life the student forfiets when they fail to complete and gain a skills required job. James Faulkner
