Lauren, Right by being transparent, we are sending a message to the community and those enrolling, or enrolled in our school that we have nothing to hide. We want to show that we do care about the student and their future. Kathie Dherit
Jasmine, You are right, it does make a school look desperate if they need to give something away just for you to walk in the door or apply. A school would get a wide variety of people and possibly not the quality of student they are looking for. Kathie Dherit
Katie, True statement. If we don't know what we offer and the specifics of those programs, we will more than likely slip up and give out incorrect information. Kathie Dherit

Katie, Great answer. The prospective student needs to build trust in what we do. If we can't get that trust, then that prospective student will never enroll. Kathie Dherit
James, Giving out someone's name and personal information without their consent can cause a number of problems. Just one of them being that the student may not want you talking about them (negative or positive). A great example of what you said, is when someone says I'm from "small town, USA", you can state, we have a few people that attend here from that area. You are still saying that information, but not being specific. Kathie Dherit

Jon (Jack), True, superlatives can cloud someone's thinking, if we continually say we are the "best", "greatest", etc. If you state that "in my opinion" we have have the best instructors, it states something different just by using the words "in my opinion". Kathie Dherit
Brian, You gave give your opinion on things, as long as you preface it with "in my opinion". You don't want the student left with the impression of facts that aren't true but based on opinion. Kathie Dherit
Dana, What a great analogy. Trust is a huge factor for the relationship between the student and school. Kathie Dherit
Karen, Focusing on what really matters to them which is getting training for a better life. It means getting a career over a job. Being truthful will help the student in the long run. Kathie Dherit
Cynthia, Some things depending on the severity, may have a consequences of termination. Releasing personal information about a student to someone they don't want the information released to is violation of FERPA, which is a law and regulation that needs to be followed. Kathie Dherit
