Gemma , Look at padlet.com as a way to bring some of your "stuff" together on a digital wall. I am using it now as a way for students to post abot current events. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Neer, True, it is also a tool to determine if the course delivery is appropriate to so students can learn and meet the objectives. Sometimes not meeting objectives may fall on us. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Erica, I agree with you. You modify delivery rather than content. You actually NOT be able to modify content if there is set course content. It really is delivery. I which instructors would spend as much time planning a f2f course as they do an online course. How great would those be too! Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Erica, What great observations! When you are just a presenter, you force students students to look through your eyes not their own. The key is to get them to "see" it themselves. (Does that make sense?) Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Erica, You are right. Both communication and consistency are important to the success of a students. With consistency and frequent communication comes comfort and familiarity Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

Gemma , It really gives them opportunity to critically review information and determine value. Way up there on the Bloom's Taxonomy! Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Gemma , You are right, I actually use Facebook often. I actually find much of my course material in facebook as well as connect with other people. I also find LinkedIn more valuable than I used to. We make all of our freshmen create a Linkedin account. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

Gemma , That is a great strategy. I know that you have several experts particularly in the food industry that also have great blogs. You could have them follow an expert on a topic and then compare it to the industry trends. Just a thought. . . . Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Sodang, I love your idea of the time scaffolding. That is a great tool. I use Outlook Calendar to help them plan their time productively. they can push that to their phone. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Michael, I agree with you about learning more about students. You want them to not use their weakness as a crutch but to develop strategies to work with it. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
