Nice approach Wendy and I've actually met several instructors who us the same method! There is often no need to send the email. Simply writing your feelings out is often enough.

What a nice overview Bobby. Sounds like you've really taken the time to diagnose your situation - past, present and future. Sometimes simply taking an inventory of your stressors can be a big step in the right direction. If you find that everything is manageable, great. If not however, focus on reducing, coping or eliminating the stress that doesn't work for you.
Go ahead and give it a try Mark. The worst that could happen is that it doesn't help, but at least you will then know that you explored this avenue.
Sounds like you have the right approach Arlene. Great work! It's nice to break large tasks into smaller ones so they are more manageable. It's also a wonderful thing to prioritize. Helps you stay focused on what's important and keeps you from getting overwhelmed.

Sounds like your administration, students and fellow coworkers are lucky to have you Stephan. Some instructors are simply more adaptable to stress than others. Sounds like you are one of them!
Great philosophy Stephen and thanks for sharing. However, some believe in the age old airline saying 'You've got to put the oxygen mask on yourself before you help anyone else.' While making your students a priority is key, it's also essential to take care of you and your needs.

Yes, instructors must take the initiative Lee. We are responsible for our time management capabilities. If we are not coping well with our task demands, it's important to reach out for help to become better.

Coworker complaints can make your work environment very stressful Rachel. It's one thing to share challenges but something very different to constantly complain about them. It's important to understand the impact that your coworkers have on others when they complain and to not become one of them.
That's a great approach Mark. Glad to hear about your plan. Yes, when students underline the most important portions of their answers it can save so much time!
Sounds like a great plan Benjamin. Yes, for courses that demand long papers from students, electronic grading can work quite well. If you ask your students to submit their work on paper and digitally, you can evaluate it with a few digital tools and then by hand too.
