Taking Control of Your Time

I thought the lesson was extremely helpful in allowing me to see the flaws in my time management. Writing a task list which prioritizes the tasks by urgency is an excellent way to accomplish goals.

I totally agree with everyone. This lesson has really help me to see where I have been going wrong with time management. I work a full time job and teach part-time, so I have found myself becoming overwhelm with grading papers. I started developing a homework and classroom work packet for my students. This packet is given out on Monday and the students have the following Monday to turn in their work. This has truly helped with time mamagement and organization!

Martha, Yes, consistency is the key. Coming up with a good plan is great, but we need to follow that plan closely to get the most out of it. Battles with time management strategy are often won and lost in execution.

I completely agree. Sometimes, I feel like I keep my schedule so full that I might miss things. If I can keep a clear list of what I need to do and what needs to be prioritized from most urgent to least urgent, that would help my time management tremendously. Priority lists are a great tool to have and will help with organization as well.

This is me too.
Honestly, my time management is really out of focus and out of order. In order for me take control of my time I figured I need a lot of discipline and consistency or I would crash and loose total control of not only my time by also my motivation and focus to complete all tasks.

So true. We must take control of our own time.

Anthony, So true. Having a list is a great way to prioritize and keep track of all of your tasks. I am glad this lesson helped you. Sometimes the best possible outcome of these exercises is to be able to identify flaws in your time management style. It's the first step toward fixing them.
