grading

I am pretty good at grading. i grade my paper work within 1-2 days from receiving paper work

The students at my school need the immediate confirmation of their test scores, due to the subject matter. We cannot proceed to the next level and expect success without working on weak areas on subject content which has already been tested or discussed.

I agree, grading work or projects on a daily basis is a good thing. besides, less work on you at the end of the course.

I agree because it allows the instructors to stay on task and be more organized plus the students are really antsy about their grades

Sounds like you've developed a system and timing that works well for you. I think the ideal timing really depends on the complexity of the assignment. The more complex grading required, the more wiggle room I think we as instructors have.

I feel I owe it to the students to return graded material within 1-2 days after receiving it. This shows the students the importance of the exercise and they will know where they stand in the class.

I will set aside a particular time to grade assignments. With this time used each day I avoid getting behind in my grading.

This is not a problem if it is not put off. I get on the grading as soon as possible after assignments are turned in.

I upload all of my quizzes online and the results get emailed to me, so I don't have to grade them, just enter them in my gradebook!
