From my experience very few of the students that I deal with manage thier time very well. Most of the students just don't "get it". It seems that if we can't infulence the student here at school they are bound to be smacked in the forehead by the wicked cruel world. Most have money, family and peer issues and the student just does not seem to have the skills to cope their time management concerns. We at Ford Fact try to help the student overcome these concerns so that they will be successful in their chosen career path and be a successful tech at a Ford store.
True to a point Rich. Sometimes, our job is to teach them the coping skills they need to resolve their own issues instead of resolving issues for them.
Some students do not seem to "get it". They have money, family and peer issues that they just do not have the coping skills or insite to overcome. Our job here is to resolve these issues with advice or other help so that they can continue in their career path successfully.
