It is extremely valuable to know about different learning theories because it gives you, as an instructor, a different perspective of what is the most effective teaching technique to use. We all learn differently and just having that knowledge will allow the instructor to plan different activities to accommodate their students learning styles.
Once knowing and understanding the learning theories one can implement a variety of experiences in the classroom that will not only be beneficial to those with specific learning styles but also enhance the education of those who may never have tried to learn in a variey of ways.

Everyone learns differently... we have all heard this throughout our educational experiences. I have always been the one who reads everything and instantly "gets it".... I'm lucky I guess but others required different approaches. It is important as an instructor to be able to recognize each student's way of learning so that they will be successful in the class. By knowing the different learning types I can incorporate different approaches to the material to ensure the class understands the material. It also would offer some variety making everyone enjoy the lectures a little more.
It gives you a baseline as to what approach or method you need to use. Success of student is our main goal so we have to make sure we use teaching methodologies that will enable them to learn and not just because we are accustomed to one teaching style and we do not want to try others
Jumana, it is important that the educator plan and control the "flow" of the class which you have referred to as pacing.

It is very important to know the different learning theories of my student as it helps me in planning how I will teach the subject to my students. I incorporate a lot of videos and technology to emphasis what I have taught and it helps them retain the knowledge. It allows me to set the pace of teaching, the different activities that I will do in the class.

I think it produces creativity in myself when there are different learners in the class room. I have to think how I can present the information in a way that each learner will respond to it. It was good concept putting names to the different types of learner, I am combination but mostly the loner.

Not every student is the same, just as not every person is the same. We all learn best in different ways and knowing those ways and theories helps us to know how to plan and teach.
In addition to recognizing the learning styles of my students, I am identifying my own style. I am INTEGER. I have a love for numbers and factual information. I now get it; that many of my students do not share this same love. This will help me in relating the information in ways that more students can relate to. I enjoy the creativity brought to this course.
