Resource notebook is particularly helpful for me at this stage in our development to keep current polices and procedures of the institution. I find the need to frequently refer the notebook.

Dear Patty,

Thank you for your question. As I am new to the position of admissions, My training will continue with the institution for some time.

I can certainly appreciate all the information brought to light through this course. Currently the topic of advertising and marketing has been discussed as a means by which prospective students may learn about the education we provide.

With regards to advertising, it is the presentation of information pertaining to our college to an audience that could benefit from such an education. We promote our college through various media such as print, internet and television spots to generate interest. Those seeking more information will receive a catalog describing our college, curriculum, enrollment policies and other pertinent information from which to begin the process of making an informed decision.

Our marketing refers to the way in which we promote our college, the selection of specific audiences and how we can service their needs when looking to an education within their chosen career field.

This translates to the opportunity for enrollment or the registering the student to attend our college where by which their paid tuition is exchanged for the education to prepare them for success in the job market.

Thank you for your review in evaluating my response.

Nick

Your post gave me a great idea to communicate on a regular basis with admissions personnel at our other campus locations. Thank you.

Course Curriculum, program title, class hours, etc.

sarah,
Accreditation is an important discussion to have with the prospective student. The accreditation gives the institution the ability to have the agency stamp of approval.

I think it is very important to keep a resource note book handy for references on rules and regulations in case any questions or concerns should come up during the admission process. it is good to have all informations in one notebook that can facilitate the task.Thank you for sharing this with us.the information

Stephan,

Integrity, honesty, open communications. It is the foundation for all that follows.

Patty Aronoff

Alexandra,

My notebook has the rules, the statutes, the current catalog, accreditation standards, the organizational chart, advertising materials, web links to assist students for various challenges they face. These are the resources I use the most.

Patty Aronoff

Kerrie,
Great! You are on your way to developing a very resourceful tool.

Patty Aronoff

I've placed latest updates on program descriptions and Terms and Conditions. I've learned that integrity is very important even if it is not specifically highlighted in the rules and regulations

Hi Patty,

The resource notebook is the most valuable asset to the admissions staff in order to properly inform a student about a big life decision. I also believe that our notebook is only as good as the user and it must be updated and reviewed often. Compliance policies reflect the vision of the institution and the integrity of the admissions staff.

What is the most valuable resource you keep in yours?

I have placed the vocab. terms discussing differences between agent and ad. rep, our required documents student must fill out for application, minimum standards for my specific program that is in development due to its constant evolution. I did not know the difference between agent and admissions representative. I also put a copy of the ethical standards we uphold, sort of the do's and don't's my institution gave me for admissions rep. It's a handy reminder if I am unsure about something, what I can do for the student.

Julius,
It is really a personal need. The information is collected and assembled by you to fit your needs.

Patty Aronoff

I have put in my note book all the information needed. I did not know how much info is needed to be on hand.

Jason ,
Course completion requirements are an important topic to discuss with the students. They must be fully aware of any requirements to achieve completion status. Many times this includes payments due!

Veronica,

Accreditation is an important part of our schools. Accreditation is also the gateway to being approved for Title IV funding which many students rely on for assistance.

Some of the most commonly used definitions or topic discussed during the admissions process is financial aid, cost, fees, accreditation, course completion requirements, externship and course catalog.

Some of the definitions we use here on my campus are- Accreditation - Accrediting Agency, Enrollment Agreement, and Institution
