Sondra,
The CIE website will keep you current on Commission information. Watching the CIE meetings provides you the opportunity to see how the Commission administratively sets those rules in practice. Very good advice!

Great ideas! Also, having the rules stored on your computer for quick reference might help.

The best way is to keep the notebook and refer often to the CIE website. I also find it helpful to watch the live broadcasts of the CIE meetings. They are extremely informative. Regular meetings should be utilized to share new information.

Duane,
There is something about having it in writing at your immediate need and easy access.

Kathy,

It is important to print out the literature and make sure that you cover all of the bylaws and sections of the statutes to makes sure that you are acting in a proper manner. when people find them in a bind most time it is not because it is intentional but because they did not know.

Checking the CIE website rule and laws page for updates. I saved this link to my favorites for easy access.

Steven,
The CIE website is filled with additional information that may assist you as well. The Commission issues meeting notices, statutory changes, newsletters and industry trends that are of interest to this sector.

I use the CIE website monthly to review any changes to regulations.

Lisette,
Also include your institution itself. Corporate policies and advertising knowledge are important as well.

The best resource for updated information I believe is the various websites and links in this training.

I have bookmarked the CIE website and added notifications into my outlook calendar to check the website monthly for updates and changes. We also randomly ask questions regarding rules and regs to the entire campus during our staff meetings.

Reading the various Florida Statues and Rules have helped me a great deal. I have printed them and put them in my notebook and followed the recommendations given. I also try to keep them up-dated every month going into the State website.

Marc, another suggestion would be to check the Commission website for important updates.

I learn the various Florida Statutes and Rules and Regulations by practicing what's pertinent to my school.

My program specialist is very good at letting us know about changes.

My plan is to do as instructed in the module; Consistently logging on to the website, checking for updates or changes. Also, by referring to my institution's administration for insight, as well. Otherwise, just constantly reviewing my printed copies of the Rules and Regulations.

We have meetings often with all department heads.

It is critical to constantly check to see if any of these rules or regulations have changed. It is our responsibility to stay on top of these changes. When something does change, review it very carefully to make sure that all changes are completely understood.
