I agree with your system, a checklist and backup file, is the safest and most practical way to maintain records of your students.
It never hurts to have someone else review your work!
Each file includes a check list to insure that all proper documents are provided and completed. Once the file is completed it is submitted to management for further review.

The best part of this training is the constant feedback and ideas we all share with one another. Wow.... amazing....Great for us all. this way everyone is one the same page.
It is a great reference tool to use. It makes our lives easier knowing we are furnishing our prospective students with the right information. It also makes shcools liable as well as the admissions representative for misleading, misinforming and lying to students. It is about time this is taking place. Congress is cracking down on schools who are breaking the law.
We have a very organized Director and she has implemented a three ring binder system with tabs for each item placed. There is a table of contents in the begining as well. It is easy to find what information that you need quickly.
After taking this training I now undrstand the needs for the resours notebook. This paperwork helps me to organizes and prepar future meeting.

we use a checklist and verify all pertinent information which is enclosed in the students academic file.
That's correct. Even though we are strictly an MD program, there are different parts to this program. For example, after a student finishes 5 semesters of basic science coursework, they must sit for the USMLE Step 1 exam. Only then can they go on to do their clinical rotations. Clinicals is a yet another part of their training with their own requirements.
It is so important to be organized and pay attention to details. Double checking before and after is the key to have everything in order and not have to worry about mistakes because if there is any you will catch it on time.
