I will keep an organized and up to date note book. Also, I will have a backup copy of all the paperwork and information related to completing the admissions training.
Guy,
Sometimes viewing an electronic copy as a printed sample gives the document a whole new meaning.
Patty Aronoff
urania,
It is very important! In admissions we need to be careful about what we say and how it is understood so as not to mislead the students.
Patty Aronoff
Shandell,
Excellent! Organization will help you review your competencies and provide a strong resource for future use.
Patty Aronoff
Jeffrey,
Excellent process! We should always have a second set of eyes review the enrollment paperwork for compliance.
Patty Aronoff
Suzanne,
You have the best of both worlds! The electronic copy allows you to search quickly. The binder allows you to add material that is not available electronically.
Patty Aronoff
Elyse,
Binders are also very easy to update. You can take things out, or move them around to your desires.
Patty Aronoff
Yesenia,
That is the beauty of building your own notebook. When we create it, it becomes part of us.
Patty Aronoff
Alexander ,
All policies and procedures must be current and up-to-date. If we use outdated material, we run the risk of being noncompliant.

Considering the paperwork is mostly electronic, I will compile a paper copy of a typical admissions' student packet, and additional paperwork based on the program.
Admissions have a manuel that have all the infomation that they need inorder to do their job correctly. This binder contains everything from our Rules and Regualtions all the way down to what they are allowed to say and not allowed to say which is very important!
I am trying to keep my organized by the day on specific compentencies thaat I have studied including all self directed research that i feel will contribute to my success.
I keep a manual and electronic file for the student. ASll completed forms are in the file as each is completed by the student. Once all required is collected, the file is given to the Registrar's Office for scheduleing ansd set up for orientation.
The resource notebook is the best resource to organize your paperwork. I have it digitally now too, so I can search my computer for what I need. That has helped a lot too.
A binder is a great way to keep everything together, organized and easily accessible. It's also easy to take on the road in the event you need to reference it at an event!
Having your Notebook is reliable. Every person has their own way of doing it. I say make it your own.
Policies and Procedures manuals will be updated based on subject matters, discussion and related material from the school.
Maylen,
Very good advice! We need to make sure that records are safe and secure.
Patty Aronoff
Tracy,
Excellent! Having a binder will give you the opportunity to continually add new resources to increase the value of your notebook.
Patty Aronoff
Cherie,
Great news! Having the information that you need in an organized fashion for your team will keep you all on the same page.
