Jenny,
That is a very good plan! Our resource notebook is only valuable if it is current and up-to-date.
Patty Aronoff
ramtin,
Thank you for the feedback. You are building a resource That will assist you, long after the course Is complete.
Patty Aronoff
Kathleen,
Whiteboards are an interesting phenomenon. I use the white board as well as it always catches my eye to remind me of things that I need to be reminded of.
Patty Aronoff
Tammy,
We all organize things differently. I love dividers too I love the cut color-coded because my mind immediately sees the subject based on the color.
Patty Aronoff
frank,
Excellent! Keep on adding to your notebook by adding additional material that will assist you and your job.

I have created a binder to make sure all my material and information is current/or up to date with rules and regulations and add any new information as well.
Its a fall back or go to place of information when or if an issue arises. You have to keep the binder up to date, and a great place to keep valuable resources.
As all have said the importance of the notebook, and I agree. But along with that I strongly suggest that the collection of admissions paperwork is equally important. Keeping that paperwork in perfect order is crucial.
I have created a resource notebook as directed and i have filed all paperwork that is relevant to the institution in it and labeled them so that they can easily be found and accessed. Printed out all relevant paperwork indicated and filed them in the notebook for reference.
We have a great system where all the paperwork is kept in a file folder. We find this along with a checklist, allows us to neatly keep all necessary documents together.
I will continue making sure that my notebook is current. I will check for updates in a monthly basis.
This was a great module that gave great recommendations on how to create a binder that is organized and valuable for everyday use whenever a question is asked that one needs to verify in order to get the correct answer that follows commission rules.
I will keep an electronic version of my binder, even as it is updated in case it gets misplaced such that I will always have the resources I need immediately at hand.
I am putting everything into a binder/reference book. Also, I am taking other small notes that I write down and am putting it on the white board.
I am finding it very helpful to use page/subject dividers. I can label each one with very specific information and go to the exact section I am in need of.
I have a binder to place training items in and sample forms that have been completed by me for my use.
Nancy,
Notebook needs to be organized but also needs to be current. Make sure to check for updates regularly and keep your notebook as current as possible.
Patty Aronoff
Nancy,
Excellent! Keep it handy so when you need it it's right there at your fingertips.
Patty Aronoff
Cindy,
Good news! The notebook should be a well read book on your bookshelf or your desk.
Patty Aronoff
Robert,
The notebook can be arranged however it works best for you. The beauty of the notebook is that it is easily updated and you can change it if you choose another way.
Patty Aronoff
Genesis,
I feel the same way! My resource binder is separated by dividers and often times other staff members come and use my binder to find the information they need.
