Absolutely! You don't have to wait for a meeting to meet with faculty. They love to talk about their passion.

The Commission meets every two months. The schedule for the meetings are posted on the CIE website under agenda information. You can also watch the meeting via the web through a weblink that is posted on the same webpage.

Gathering of information is important but we must understand the material that we gather and how it applies to our students.

It is really up to management. What is important is that information is relayed quickly so that everyone is on the same page.

Our Admissions staff has weekly meetings with both the Director of Admissions and our Vice President of Enrollment Services. Beyond that I have not attended other meetings at this point, but as I am only 2 months in, I'm sure there are other opportunities to do so.

The Commission meetings are excellent resources for obtaining current information, however I find our monthly staff meetings to be rather effective as well. We also discuss current industry trends/change in addition to institutional ones, and address any internal concerns or issues.

In our institution we actually have a 10-15 minute meeting every morning. We also attend every year to the AACS convention and any other required meeting.

i require all my Admissions stafff to attend meetings with the education departmetn for up to date knoweledge of the information being taught, as well as employer meetings of thier expectation or entry level graduates, inorder to understand the true opportunities avaliable to a trained studnet graduate.
