Student Services
Student services are often as important as the educational programs. Student services prepare students to be successful and provide assistance throughout the student's experience at your school. Common student services are: Orientation, academic assistance, housing, placement and career services, library, graduation, and exit interviews.
I agree with this point. It all goes hand in hand. There is so much more to the college experience/obtaining the degree other than just going to class. A great student services help alleviate some stress for the students and also help them in areas directly related to their educational programs. As reps we should be able to paint a picture to that student that lines up with how student services will come come into play.
Student Services are an important part of a students success. They can vary from school to school. Some schools will only offer those required by the Ohio Board.
I agree that Student Services set us apart from other systems - WE CARE! Just having all departments, staff and adminsitration knowing students by name and circumstance separates us and allows the student to feel "at home" which in turn motivates them more to succeed.
I believe it is our student services that make a difference here at our school. All departments work together and are involved in activites such as orientation, graduation, recognition, career services and other student activities. We have great participation between student, faculty, and staff.
