Review

This was a nice overview of infomation that I am familiar with.  I thought it was also interesting to learn new things about finanical aid and Title IV that I was not aware of.  I also find the info quite interesting to take into my own daily activities as well.  The Can-Spam act has always played with my understanding a bit, it is always nice to get a review on it, so that as a consumer I can use it as well.

Compliance Training

This course was very informative.  Items that one might think are harmless to perform or speak of can be very damaging.  I learned a lot from the course and will go back and reference the web sources and other information provided.

Bright Lines

It is good to have trainings and refreshers in the "bright line" parameters that are pertinent to our speech and actions.  Most of us do what we do because we know that what we do is help people change their life's course through career training.  It is involves regular interactions with individuals.  As those relationships develop it is important that we take care not to let familiarity with the person, and the more relaxed conversation that is a bi-product of that familiarity, ever lead to misinformation or unintentional misrepresentation.  We do not need to let it have a chilling effect… >>>

Training

I printed out everything from this training and am going to continuously going to review at least once a week so that I know it from front to back.  It is amazing what I didn't know and now do.

review is good!

This was very intersting to do. Compliance is always in the back of the mind, to bring it to the fore front for review was a positive.

Transparent Feedback

I gained a better understanding of FERPA and transparency.  Coming from healthcare I learned how FERPA and HIPAA correlate to one another.  The rules and regulations are there to be followed.  The mission and values of the institution were established based on the rules and regulations.  It becomes up to the administration of the institution to develop a culture of integrity so that employees will not waiver into grey areas that could lead to negative and potentially hazardess consequences.

Changes

I feel this course has helped me so I know exactly what I shoud say to a student or prospective student.  They are in charge of their future and I don't want to say anything misleading.  The course has made me ask questions that I normally may have not asked.

Learning interests

Taking this compliance course has helped me to understand the educational process. I am a new instructor and I am interested in learning all I can to become a great instructor. In order to do that I think it is important to learn all the rules and regulations.

How Things Have Changed - For the Better

Taking this compliance course was really helpful. I was in the Admissions Field 5 years ago and now back in Admissions department after working in the Academic field of Advising. I am very great full how as to how much the rules and regulations have changed for the betterment of our business and the transparencies for students.

Confidence

This course helped me prioritize what needs to be known, provided and required. I now have a better "Resource Notebook" that contains all necessary tools and the resources to find or keep myself up to date. Therefore, I feel more confident, that I have all the knowledge and the tools when enrolling a student.

Different

I can say I was not sure what to expect but it was helpful and everyone needs to know what is going on. There are many changes that are going on and this course has helped me.

First impressions

I was not sure what to expect from this training. I was a little confused at first because it seemed to be oriented towards a recruiter and not a teacher. As the class went on I was able to see the connection.

Required DoA Training

I think the Compliance training course should be required for all new Directors of Admissions immediately upon hiring.  I wish I would have had something like this eight years ago when I started as a DoA in the for-profit world of education.  For the first time I actually wanted the training to continue because I thought the topics were so appropriate for our highly regulated world.  Nothing really surprised me but rather made me feel like I really do know what I am doing.

Great Job FAPSC

BEFORE I TOOK THIS TRAINING,  DID NOT EXPECT THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE SO DEEP INTO THE SUBJECT. WHEN I TOOK THE TRAINING, I SAW THAT IT WAS MORE THAN I EXPECTED. I ALSO REALIZED WHY SOME INSTITUTIONS RUN BETTER THAN OTHERS, WHY SOME INSTITUTIONS ARE MORE VIGOUROUS THAN SOME OTHERS. IF ALL US INSTITUTIONS WOULD APPLY ALL THE THOSE RULES AND THEORIES IN THEIR SCOOL ADMINISTRATION, SCHOOL MANAGEMENT AND  SUCCESS WOULD BE EASIER. WHAT I ALSO REALIZED IS, THE GAP THAT EXISTS BETWEEN US SCHOOLS AND SCHOOLS ABROAD LIKE CHINA, SOUTH KOREA ETC IS DU TO THE LACK OF… >>>

Great Help

I have never in my 4 career as an Admissions Rep had to complete this training. I am glad to finally be working for a compliant school that is serious about the rules and follows them. This has been a long journey coming :)

Helpful

The information is very informative and helpful . I learned alot of things i didn't know, and will refer back to keep up on updated info and check out others experience.

Rules and Requirements

I think that this course was very informative and precise about the rules and requirements that people have to abide by. There  are a lot of rules that I was not aware of. The structure of this course will also help anyone to prepare good documentation for their school.

Training

Many of us have been teachers for a number of years, but it is always a good idea to periodically review the State standards and guidelines.

information

The information included in this testing was very complete and accurate. It was detail oriented and organized in a thoughtful manner. I am glad that I obtained all of this needed knowledge.

Worthwhile and well prepared

I found this course to be well written and very informative. Before taking this course, I was not aware of the requirements mandated by the State and the Federal government let alone how to ensure I comply at my level as an instructor.

Also, this course was presented in a logical and easy format for me to follow; as well as, knowledge retention. Whoever designed this course and format deserves a "Bravo Zulu". Figure that one out and I guess I owe you a cup on Miller-Motte coffee.
