Simulation labs and Skills Performance

 Simulation labs really helps the students in performing skills at the clinical area. In clinical setting , if we  have skills need to perform , it is really very helpful to ask the students what they learned and remember during skill labs .  Allowing the students to perform during skills labs helps them to build confidence to perform the procedure at clinical areas.

Using a Textbook

As an Instructor, and I choose a textbook as a tool, I must be familiar with the contents and delivery inorder for it to become an effective teaching tool.  The contents of the book should be correct, precise and accurate.

Professionalism with students / soft skills

My students can learn theory when they apply themselves. It seems to be the soft skills that they have challenges with. How to communicate and behave appropriate is where they fall short

Storytelling during lecture

I find it interesting that students remember the stories I tell them in the classroom.  I've learned to lecture in a story-telling way where the content is being delivered in a story format.

Instructional delivery

The information in this section was great. I am a new teacher and this data was exactly what I needed it lets me know that I am doing the right things to promote the learning process, and it's given me ideas on how I can improve my skill.

I found it helpful.  Some things were a reminder. others were new.  I like the idea of 15 minute segments.  Even if the topic doesn't change the delivery system can.  I think this might help keep the students engaged.

Are you happy with the conditions of the world?

So much violence nd crime. One cannot watch TB, listen to the radio, unless crime and violence is mentioned. We are living in critical times hard to deal with.

Troubleshooting a flipped classroom

I would like to find out more about troubleshooting issues in a flipped classroom.  How does the facilitator respond when students do not watch the prerecorded material or when many of the students have ADD and have a difficult time in group activities?  Thanks,

Learnig pattern

Just as a lot of people have personal choices in music they will also have personal or blended ways of learning. Make sure that you can explain material and give examples in at least 3-4 ways, Also use your students as a resource. Sometimes a student will relate better to a slightly different expaination form another student to finish opening the door with the explaination you used.
