Online teaching has some limitations. Students are responsive to up to date technology and tend to learn and interact when it is incorporated. 

Be flexible in design and do not look at all students the same. 

Passive learning has advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is you can deliver a lot of information to a large group at one. A disadvantage is lack of feeback. 

Students must be fully engaged in their learning. They must want to put forth an effort

Adult learners like a structured learning style and tend to be more cofident, and indepent with their learning. 

Making certain that flexibility is incorporated into the instructors teaching style is an ideal practice. 

To be an active listener you must respond so that the speaker knows that you are taking them seriously. 

Although there is a model of students as customers. Students should not be viewd as customers. 

Adult learners face larger barriers when it comes to learning. Things like family, financial responsibility and retention are just a few things that may hinder the adult learner. They also however experience to the learning environment. 

When typing communications be careful of wording as it can be taken out of context. Be careful not to use capital leters, stay brief and to the point.
