Esteban, It's great awareness to realize that you need to focus more on body language. Many times a student's non-verbal communication and spoken words contradict each other, so it's important to watch their body language to determine how they are really feeling! Dr. Jean Norris
Thanks, Esteban! It's hard to maintain 100% focus when there is so much going on around you. It sounds like you're able to tune out the distractions and concentrate on the student, which is great! Dr. Jean Norris
Thanks for posting, Esteban! I'm a big advocate of modeling positive body language to put the student at ease. Dr. Jean Norris
Janet, great point! Thank you for sharing! Dr. Jean Norris
Esteban, It's great that you are aware of your areas of opportunity and are working to strengthen them. Do you think if you can build rapport with someone on the phone like you do in person, you will gain the same self-confidence? Dr. Jean Norris
Great, Diana! Proof and success stories are an excellent way to address challenges! Dr. Jean Norris
Diana, Great! It is so important to answer rather than avoid a prospective student's questions about tuition. Most students today have already done some research and have a good idea about the cost. Helping them see the value of a college education is key! Dr. Jean Norris
Thatks for sharing, Iza! It sounds like you help prospective students find their own best course of action, even if it's not your school. Congratulations! Dr. Jean Norris
Great observations, Michael! Thanks for sharing. What do you think leaders can do to influence their teams toward a particular goal? Dr. Jean Norris
Thanks for sharing, Janet! It's true that it is difficult to listen without filters and be 100% present when having a conversation with another person. It shoulds like you make an effort to do this with your students...great job! Dr. Jean Norris
