Having taught at a few colleges, sort of all over the spectrum of academia, I am always thrilled to have non-traditional students in the classroom. You can really pick up on the level of involvement from your students when you alter your Instructional Style (for the better). I have found that having a certain amount of flexibility and adaptability in the classroom will make the students more likely to learn what you are teaching them.
