I agree that it is important to understand your personality style. We have done that at out school and I have found it to be very helpful. Not just for myself, but in understanding other personality types. I also think it it very valuable to observe other instructors. Everytime I do I always learn new method, tips or techniques that I can use in my classroom. I wish that more opportunity existed to observe others!

I like to make tests with lots of different types of questions. This tends to work well for the students. Some may excel on certain types of question while not doing so well on other types. It tend to give a better reflection of what a student has learned and what still needs to be covered more.

I find it difficult to keep adult learners engaged for four - five hours in a night class after working all day. No matter what I have tried they lose steam by the last hour of class. Any ideas?
