When I started teaching one area I was weak in was speaking in front of a group. Therefore, lecturing was a challenge. In order to improve and develop my speaking skills I would ask my wife to select a topic and then would speak on it in front of my family. Also, I volunteered to teach canoeing skills to several youth groups. It allowed me to enhance my hands on instruction skills as wells as requiring me to speak in front of groups.

Im probably one of the youngest instructors that's been at this facility. Most of my students are my age, they just dont know that though. I know what they want to hear or how they want to be talked to so i put myself in their position to see what would be the best way to teach them everything that they have to know.
