using the four teaching methods will cover all students

The program that I teach in actually discusses and has the students take an intelligence test so the first day of class being that I have had small classes I ask the students if they recall their test results. I try and format my teaching toward the variety of students and explain how each method is easier for some than others. That being said I think an important point is to expose the students to the various teaching/learning methods because they may not always be in an environment catering to their intelligence preferences.

Like the use of the word "teach" instead of student presentation. I think this word change sends a signal to the students that they are not only sharing content but also teaching how it can be used. This increases the value of their presentations to the class since they are showing application and relevancy in what they are discussing.

with multiple intelligences I find that letting the students "teach" is a way to increase class participation, pique their interest and challenge them to meet the bar raised by their fellow classmates. I used the term "teach" instead of student presentations because I feel this a way of getting the class further involved with their education rather than totally depend on the instructor. So far I have had great results.

learning should be fun, but engaging every student is also important for the students to see themselves in the work environment actually using the information and knowledge

Using class discussion keeps the students focused on the lecture material

By understanding the multiple intelligences present in each student,I can vary my instructional methods to be able to provide the majority of my students with the best possible delivery of the course information.

it opens the door for a variety of lecture options... ie... power point, hands on demonstration, video or researching a topic... we try to utilize each aspect w/ in a modular assignment to allow for each student a different method of learning the material.

Understanding different aspects of intelligence allows me to introduce new materials and techniques in teaching students.

To reach all preferences I divide my 4 hours class in a power point projection of the objectives and the content of the chapters. I make a lecture on the subject with graphic. I project a audio-video on the application. I make a summary about what we saw. We practice the knowledge.

So true. With variety the course will fall into a routine that will not engage the students and this leads to a lack of content retention very quickly.

It is essential to use diverse methods for teaching and greater interactivity

To teach multiple Intelligences you have to get to know your students. You have to determine which intelligences your students are using to teach them correctly. Also to be most effective in they're learning ablities

This understanding will require a diverse range of instruction offered at different times throughout the course. Course content will have to be presented with varied objectives and strategies to reach all students.
