Excellent Rick. There are so many different options. You could really choose a different exercise each day of the week. So if you are more productive when you mix things up, go with that!

I enjoy yoga and find that even a few minutes each day of stretching and breathing helps to relieve stress throughout the entire day.

In the past, I used to cope with stress with physical activity. However, my current work schedule leaves me 6 hours (after I fight my way through traffic for an hour)a day, Mon- Fri, to eat, sleep, and enjoy my family. The weekends I try to shed the stress by working in the yard and taking the family out for a nice dinner in an upscale restaurant. So far, this has given me the opportunity to re-charge for the work week ahead.

My way of dealing with stressors that cannot be eliminated or reduced is to exercise at least 3 times a week. I feel that it hepls me to focus on what is important and it directs my focus on something that makes me feel good and that I enjoy.

I will look for ways to include more exercise and stretching into my daily life to help me better deal with stress.

Yes, a change of scenery can go a long way in reducing stress Tony. It can really help you break out of familiar patterns and have a fresh, new point of view.

I agrree about varying ones terrain, and also changes in scenery are very helpful as well!

going for walks is very helpful, especially if it is over small hills. Although not really an exercise per se, varying the terain does cause one to notice the additional strain.

Yes, sleep and talking our stressors are both a great way to cope. It sounds like you've identified what you need to work on Krista. That's a great first step. The next step is of course to take action. You can start slow and small and work your way up.

Yes, comedies are actually really great stress reducers and a great way to spend time with friends and family too.

I would definitely have to say exercise more and take some personal time for myself. I would watch more comedies because I find that laughing really reduces my stress and helps put things into perspective. By looking at the positive side of things, I find it also makes me feel better about things.

I need to work on getting enough sleep. Lately, I've been having trouble sleeping, and I don't think it's because of stress--I think it's causing stress. I should probably go to the doctor to get it checked out, because I've been having these problems for a few months now.

I also need to continue talking about my stressors to someone who will listen. Oftentimes, I keep quiet about what's stressing me out, and I would feel a lot better if I just talked it over with someone.

That's great to hear Tony. Short walks are perfect and you can do them almost anywhere so an escape is never too far away.

Some of the methods I will use is more excersise, also short walks on my breaks.

Ha! Well set, Tamra.

Fishing is a great way to relax and you can bring home some dinner too!

I would like to take up Yoga and exercise some more. I've already tried getting enough sleep, and that's been helping, but I also need to not depend on caffeine so much to get me through the day.

Yeah, when the good, healthy meal doesn't work, I get out the chocolate.

I am thinking of asking for help more. I already exercise on a routine basis. I eat a pretty healthy diet. I also have a roommate that will listen. I just don't know how to ask for helpl

This is true Kevin. When we bottle things up for too long, it can really wear us down. Reaching out to friends, family and even trusted coworkers can make a huge difference.
