Yes so true Ronald. Even walking - which is easy and low impact - has such amazing benefits and can really help you get away.
I like your approach Louis and so true. If we really want to do something, we will find a way to make it happen.
I find that the key is organization, prioritize your tasks, do not procrastinate even if you are ahead of you schedule (because you never know when an additional task is going to be tossed your way), try to accomplish you goals in a timely manner and don’t forget to include your stress relievers in that organization, you know that 15-30 minutes of me/exercise/stretching/meditating time, and loose the excuse that I do not have time for it, we can always find the time if we want to.
I have found that moderate exercise like walking or stretching is a huge help with stress that can not be eliminated.
I would do several things.
1. I would make sure I had a regular exercise program that combined strength and cardiovascular training.
2. I would make sure that I drank at least 4 glasses of water during the work day.
3. I would make sure that I had a sounding board to bounce ideas off to make sure that what I thought was a stressor really is a stressor.
4. I would complete the work I needed to complete in a timely fashion, so that if things out of my control pop up, I would have more time to devote to them on short notice, which would alleviate stress.
5. I would try and open more communication channels at work, so that if someone in the company can help, and is willing to help, I would not have to search for them when I am pressured.
Yes, we've got to be careful about how we cope with stress, especially if our methods involve common vices. Taking a walk and listening to the radio sound good while on the clock.
Chain smoking and lots of alcohol is fine after work, but not so good on the clock. I find walking between classes or lifting heavy objects works fine. Sitting in my car with the radio on works too.
Exercise is always a great relief but simple breathing exercises are effective and can be done anywhere.

This is true Craig. While trying to eliminate, cope and reduce stress, it's important to be sure we don't take on more!
Yes, sharing and exercise are two great healthy habits to try to incorporate Mary. Go ahead and give them a try.
Wow, that sounds like a great approach Elizabeth! I've always admired people who worked out during lunch. I haven't found a way to pull it off myself with hair and makeup. But those who can are an inspiration.
having a desk job that is very sedentary, I walk a half mile with my mp3 player every single day during lunch. I come back to my desk feeling much better and am able to power through the afternoon. I find that taking myself COMPLETELY out of my element for just a short period of time allows me to come back into my workspace with a new sense of focus.
I have decided to buy a bike and take time to just relax and not worry about the little things. Breathing exercise seems to help as well or just keeping busy and not worrying about the things I can’t change.
I have decided that I must incorporate healthy habits like sharing, and exercise in order to deal with these stressor.
Along with eliminating or reducing stress we also need to take steps in order to eliminate adding additional stressors to our life. Example: Do not take on additional work because you want to be nice. If you are already stressed by work and time do not add more.
Yes, for me too Ken! I call these "brainless tasks" and they really do help me rest a little until I get back to the complex list items.
For me doing some manual task that does not require a lot of thought or preperation, but that I can imerse myself in helps. For example mowing the lawn, painting a room, changing oil. I also find that 20 min on the exercise machine is very useful in clearing the head.
That's an interesting approach Steven and it's called compartmentalizing. It works quite well for some instructors. It just takes some practice separating the two.
Yes, that's a fantastic word to live by if you could just choose one Ann. Balance is so important to achieve in every life category.
