Showing examples to the students allows them the chance to get a visual of what is expected of the work. This is also a way to engage the students in completing the work in a manner that is acceptable without having to wonder whether or not "this is what the instructor wants".
I find the students do better when they are giving visual examples of what you expect. They don't feel like they are coming up short on your expectations.
Showing examples of students work is beneficial because I think it helps to set the bar or expectations for the students. I also believe it helps many students to relax by visualizing where their skill level may fit in by comparison. I show a range of examples in order to help this process along.
Hi Wesley,
Students love seeing examples. Examples put students more at ease and give them the confidence that they can do it.

It helps them to visualize themselves becoming a part of the workforce in which they are training.
The more examples given to a students sets the expectations for the course. In addition, examples set students up for a postive result in the class as well.
Showing examples of work gives them a guideline to go by and of what's expected of them.
Hi Robert,
I agree! Students are definitely more at ease once they see what is required of them. Visual adds clarity.

Hi M. Hussain,
I concur! Getting mentally prepared for a class as well as gather materials for a class are good ways to get off to a good start.

It is always a good idea to show the examples of the upcoming course contents and objectives. I found it very worthed. Spme students start preparing for the next class, some are exited because they already made up their mind to learn it, some are dreaming to learn it. In conclution students can set up their mind ahead.
It is helpful to show students examples of work they will be doing in the upcoming course to help clear any confusion or questions they may have. Sometimes students have questions and are too shy to ask them. This may also excite the students in regards to the upcoming term.
I think it excites students and gives them an idea of what they can come up with and make it even better. Motivation in a sense
This allows students to have an open mind as to what to expect out of the class. Students do not like suprises.
I think it is helpful to show the students examples of the work they will be doing to set the standard as to what is required of them and also so they can know what is expected of them. If they have any questions for the most part and example of something required will clarify minor aspects that they may have questions for. (i.e. format).
The examples not only serve as templates for students to follow but it allows them to mentally prepare for the course.
It is fair to show students what is to come in the near future so they can pace themselves. Some students require more time than others to read ahead . Setting clear expectations from day one covers all students with different learning styles.
So they have a better idea of what they will be learning and what is expected of them.
I agree Amber it gives the student the opportunity to visualize the expectations.
showing examples helps the student to see what is expected of them and my relieve some tention about the assignment as well.
It is helpful to show students examples of the work for the upcoming course because it gives them a visual aid of ehat is expected. It can also be a reference as well.
