Revision of the course is key to future students.  The students will tell you through their participation what their interests are.  You will see what worked and what did not work by analysing their responses in dissscusions and seeing the work that they produce.  Overtime, some things may come up that are better resources than the ones that you once used.

Multiple evauations are needed to ensure all stakeholders (instiution, faculty, and student/consumer) are satisfied with the educational program.

First of all, continuous improvement is a myth.  Periodic improvements, based on shifting expectations is closer to reality.

Second, it will take multiple tools, from your multiple stakeholders, to provide the feedback that you will need to make periodic changes that improve your online course and satisfy shifting expectations!

Currently, student evaluations are used at the end of courses. From this section, more outside peer to peer instructor evaluation will provide a different outlook for course positives and negatives.

Going to need to evaluate myself from not only students but fellow peers which will ultimatly make my platform more effective.

This module shows that multiple types of evaluations (not only grades, but following the syllabus, pre-test/post-test, creating portfolios, interviews & peer-reviews ) are needed to revise & improve the course as it is being taught.   Both quantative & qualitative data should be collected to evaluate the whole course.

Having multiple ways to evaluate and improve a course should always be a part of the educators' reflection process in creating a USEFUL course that will serve the students and help the institutions' educational reputation.

It is importantant to use quantitative/quality data and several other sources to revise an online course.

a variety of evaluations and methods are critical to assessment.

It is always important to use multiple sources, so that your course can be improved.

I have learned that it is important to "close the loop" for an online course.  To do so you need to use various methods of evaluation to help improve an online course.

As the student is the customer, their feedback is so important in revision- also a peer review is also a great tool as they are often able to speack to the academic/ teaching elements for improvement.

There are many types of methods used to review your course -- use them all!

Multiple evaluations are key to understanding the success of the course. Portfolios can recap what a student has learned throughout the course.

Use different ways to evaluate the course will help in "closing the loop," need to address all learning styles, use benchmark reviews, three stakholders: students, institution, teaching/professional community, feedback is crucial, looking at quantittative and qualitative data is important but using mutiple data is important and appropriate data is as important to using multiple sources of data.  This includes using multiply kinds of evaluation methods.

Continuous evaluation of student progress and multiple ways to evaluate the course/module are important for the teacher as well as the students.

Course revision is important and you should not rely on only one source for feedback.

Using a peer-educator is a neat idea, although most academics are resistant to exposure to their peers.  ESPECIALLY if it is their so called area of expertise.

Student feeback is critical to improving the overall success of the class. One can receive input from a variety of sources beyond student satisfaction assessments. On-going check-ins, peer reviews, and other methods can be used as well. Being open and willing to make corrections based upon constructive critique is often a skill that must be developed.

Students evaluations are useful to understand how they experienced the class, but not the best method to evaluate if the course is achieving industry standards or reflecting institutional guidelines.
