The tools that have learned durning this module I can use in my every day Lessons.

I have found that it is necessary and helpful to enhance scaffolding by introducing a new module with a quick review of the previous module's key points.

I learned that helping students create a sense of belonging and purpose is important to developing an online learning community.  I believe I would use this in early assignments in the form of public feedback in forums to encourage confidence in participation.

You syllabus should be dynamic.  An online course should not have just a paper syllabus.  It should provide students an outline or summary of topics, information about the instructor, tools, expectations and assignments.  Scaffolding is also important and allows students to build upon their own experiences prior to starting modules.

Web-based tools like wikis can be very effective ways to set up communication between an instructor and the class. Student involvement in something like a blog can also be very effective at keeping the class engaging.

The idea of creating a community is also very interesting and poignant.

I like the idea of dynamic syllabus to get students more involved in their education also as far as scaffolding all students should use past experiences as a way of advancing themselves. What’s the old saying dejav.

Effective communication between the instructor and students encourages the learning environment

I like the 1-minute paper at the end of each day to see what they learned.

Building a coarse Scaffold for students to follow through their learning.

I have learned the importance of a syllabus and how that is to guide your students. The syllabus can change in certain circumstances depending on the students and the knowledge or lack of knowledge they are receiving.

Online teaching, instructors must create different strategies to ensure the students are learning and retaining what they have learned and applying what they have learned.

I learned about the many different ways scaffolding supports students to build their own learning.

I learne the importance of scaffolding as the proess of building knowledge / skils structure based on prior knowledge and experiences. This will help students to achieve all the objectives.

Scaffolding is very important in the online setting, just like in a classroom.

For online learning I NEED to provide a better dynamic syllabus which would be designed for easy access and also room for edit and revisions. In addition, i would need feedback to know waht i should stop, what i should start and what should be continued from the point of the student.

A dynamic syllabus and better than a flat syllabus.  The communication should be ongoing within the class and the syllabus should be acessible in different aspects of the course. Communication is key to making all students feel involved and participating in the course. I learned to make sure that scaffolding is used correctly and the students are learning with technology not from technology.

It is impertive that your online syllabus is engaging and allows the student learner to naviagate with ease. Scaffolding allows students to move progressively throughout the course.

In the Teaching Online: A Student-Centered Approach module two I learned how important a good syllabus is. I also learned that a teacher needs to build a robust online community with the class participants and using good communication is needed within the online community.

The concept of scaffolding gives structure to all aspects of the online learning experience though in itself it is not the final goal.  It is a means to accomplish the learning outcomes for the students.
