Our institution is in the process of becoming CIE accredited. I have placed the following from Module 1 in our institutions resource notebook:
1. Overview of Admissions Staff Training Program print out.
2. Terms and Definitions print out.
3. Creating a Resource Notebook print out.
4. The admissions staff training process.
5. Chapter 6 E, Florida Administrative Code Comission Rules from the link provided.
6. Rule 6E-2.010, F.A.C. Agents pdf based on link provided.
I believe this is a great start to this resource notebook, and I intend to continue updating based on the CIE website, and other forth coming information provided as I proceed with the training program.
As a new institution, is there any advice that you have to offer?
At this point I have printed and added Terms and Definitions, Rules for agents, and the 59 page Commission for Independent Education Index. I have also included an Enrollment Agreement, a campus brochure and a course catalog.
As I continue to go through this course I will add more information.
I need to speak with my director in order to obtain information about our marketing efforts, budgets and marketing schedule. Also, I will request an organizational chart.
I discovered the importance of creating a resource notebook and have begun to collect and organize mine for the institution I will be working at. I will include CIE chapter6E rules, fair consumer practices, terms and definitions, a school catalog, enrollment agreement and copies of equally important materials.

This is a great thing for schools to have. Think about if all the computers crashed one day. This would serve as a great back up.
Admission agent, enrollment, application, registration are the most commonly used terms.
Rules & Regulations
Information about organization
I am at home and currently have no access to other information.
I had general knowledge about some of the rules and regulations but the specifics pertaining to Fair Practices etc are new information that I find interesting.
Christina,
I think it is a great idea. The syllabus will give the prospective student a look into the classes they will be taking.

The enrollment agreement along with the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.
Patty Aronoff
Jamye,
Check out both the statutes (the laws) and the rules (Florida Administrative Code) for definitions. These are your reference points for everything going forward.
Patty Aronoff
Benny,
