As new owners of an existing school the Resource Notebook is an invaluable tool for us

Dan Splain

I Personally put everything in my notebook!!! Knowing is everything!!!! haveing all details on hand is the most important for me. Rules change monthly is something I did't know! and the information must be there for everyone! Following these rule and regulations is most important to the students as well as myself.
Mary Rodriguez

Marcos,
Excellent! You have a solid foundation for your resource notebook. Continue to add additional resources to increase its value.

Patty Aronoff

Helmi,
Change is constant and recognizing that important factor means you are ready!

Patty Aronoff

juan,

Excellent advice! We should be refreshing our previous learning in order to be on top of the information.

Patty Aronoff

Rita,

The notebook is there to assist you by providing the needed information for compliance.

Patty Aronoff

JoOni,
Yes, the regulations provide protection to both the student and the school when followed to the letter.

Patty Aronoff

JoOni,
Organizational charts provide a clear picture of the organization and responsibility. It is a great addition to your notebook no matter the size.

Patty Aronoff

sonia,

Yes,they are required to do so. They conduct business for the school and in order to be licensed by the state, they must clear.

Patty Aronoff

I have included a policy manual, a copy of the school catalog, and rules and regulations. All these documents help me perform and stay up to date.

Ian,
We always have something new to learn or to become more proficient at. The assumption that we know it all is a dangerous thought.

Patty Aronoff

Lisa,
There are many resources out there to assist you. Continue to build your notebook.

Patty Aronoff

Raena ,
Admissions compliance training is required by the Commission and by law. Whether taking this course or by another approved training, it still must occur.

Patty Aronoff

Sandy,
Congratulations, you were ahead of the training. A resource notebook will assist you as you continue to learn admissions.

Patty Aronoff

Allison,

If you are licensed by the Commission to operate in Florida, you are governed by the laws of Florida. If you conduct business for a licensed school outside their doors, you must be licensed as an agent.

Patty Aronoff

Zainab,
FERPA restricts the student information disseminated to others. Students must sign the authorization to share their information with others outside the school staff.

Patty Aronoff

Marshal,
The enrollment agreement along with the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.

Patty Aronoff

Renita,
Excellent description of your terms. This information must be fully understood by the student.

Patty Aronoff

That is true Antionessa but one must make sure that training is also taking place as things are always evolving.

I pretty much include everyhing in my notebook, from the most updated catalog, literature on every program, enrollment forms, system use just to name a few. I've been doing this for some time know and I agree that a reference notebook is extremely helpful as you never know when you will need to refer to it. Change is constant and we always need to be aware of those changes and keep our referecne book up to date to reflect those changes.
