David,

Very good advice! Keep on learning!

Patty Aronoff

I have created a binder with color coding tabs with enrollment forms and all the florida statues. I also have information for differnt the differnt programs we offer in colored file folders.

I have the guidelines organized separately and have highlighted the pertinent parts for our school. I have also put it into one location folder as is suggested in training with the check off list, which is going to be extremely helpful.

I also plan on creating both an original file that is organized by sections, but I will also plan on creating an electronic file, so I can pull and print the information when needed.

I have it printed and gathered into the binder i created last year.

I have a physical binder to organize the admissions information and policies, with tabs and a content index. There is also a copy of our paperwork and policies available on our intranet so all employees have access to it.

As my organization is from outside of Florida currently, this process has helped me gather a variety of critical information that is reinforcing much of the work that needs to be completed through the approval process. As a point is made, I take the time to gather the necessary materials based upon the requirements and suggestions brought forth through the class.

Donard,
Make sure you keep it current and remove any outdated material.

Cari,
Color coded tabs will get you where you need to be quickly. Great idea!

essence,
It is important to have your key information readily available to you when you need it. Thus the purpose of the notebook.

Diana,

I created a binder with all the necessary information.

We put it into a binder with color coded tabs.

I have placed key information inside a binder that will be accessible for all staf. This information includes, finance options, types of courses offered, enrollment agreement, catalog, stutues and rules, prices, etc.

Organizing all the paperwork and information is related to completing the admissions training. Specifically with all the paperwork involved in the admissions process, the applicant must be informed as to their rights and responsibilities, terms and conditions, and everything that related to tuition payment and fees, and repayment of loans (if there is any). Also, there are specific guidelines to follow when enrolling a student, creating a new student folder, and knowing what to do with the folder when the admissions counselor has completed their part.

I am going green! I am using Word and PowerPoint with hyperlinks to the statues and regulations along with my notes. I will keep an electronic version available and later convert it to PDF for easy search look ups.

Everything is being read and printed out. It is then being placed in a 2" three ring binder.

Letty,
Make sure that when it is updated, everyone is informed of the changes. It is also a good idea to discuss the changes and the effects of the change to both the student and the school.
