We offer Allied Health programs ranging from Medical Assisting to Nursing. I like to sit in our Advisory Board meetings and talk with employers who sit on our board to learn more about the field.
We offer 6 schools of study:
School of Business
School of Nursing
School of Information Technology
School Of Electronics
School of Health Information Technology
School of criminal Justice.
I've actually already met with each of our department and program chairs. We also have weekly product knowledge meetings with each chair where they update us on any new tools or programs they are using to facilitate learning.
We offer Pharmacy Technician, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant with Xray, Practical Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing and Surgical Technician. I have learned about these careers working with career services and attending many interdepartmental events.
Lesley,
The field is very exciting. There are always new trends and that makes every day a new day at your school.

Erica,
Excellent! You will also want to add the rules from the Department of business and professional regulations to your resource notebook

I love the programs offered at our school. We have full cosmo, Skin, nails massage and a combo of skin and nails for the ones who are not interested in hair. I think it is brillant
I'm a very small institution only offering the Cosmetology Program. I have over 15 years as a successful Cosmetologist. My program provides the training necessary to take and pass the state exam and become a licensed Cosmetologist in the state of Florida.
Wendal,
Excellent plan! The more you learn from seeking opportunities will enhance your knowledge is an admissions rep. Learning something on paper is very different than learning something in person.
Patty Aronoff
Belinda,
Sitting in on a class is a great experience. You learn something but also feel the experience as a student would.
Patty Aronoff
Shandell,
Check out your career services department for career information as well. They can tell you about the job market and local opportunities.
Patty Aronoff
Jeffrey,
You will want to add the other agency rules and regulations involving the programs that you provide. The Board of Nursing and the Board of Massage regulations should be part of your resources book.
Patty Aronoff
Elyse,
Oriental medicine is an interesting field. Learning about the program personally is a great way to get more involved with the school.

The programs offered at my school are Associates and Bachelor Degree in IT, Electronics, Drafting & Design, Criminal Justice and Nursing. I have alrerady collected all of the program information sheets and have begun to study each one for product knowledge. The other things that I have done to increase my product knowledge is to speak with each program chair. This has given me great insight into the curriculum offered for each program. The last stop on my introductions tour was a meeting with our Career Services Director. Again, I was able to see the tghings that were being done for our students to help them succeed in the workplace.
At our school we offer Cosmetology, Barber, Nails, Skin and Massage. We all have a curriculum that we need to read so all the office personnel not only admissions know what we offer and what the students will be learning and practicing. Once and a while we are allowed to sit in the classrooms to observe so we can better observe things and tell prospects about it.
At my school we offer 6 programs, Nursing, Drafting and Design, Business, Information Technology, Electronics and Criminal Justice. We have on brochures and also on the website entry level jobs in relation to the position that I can do research on to provide accurate information to the prospect. I can also partner with instructors at my campus to learn more about individual postions and first hand industry knowledge about trends and technology use and changes.
Allied Health programs, Medical Assistant Diploma/Associate degree, EKG, Medical Administration, Medical Coding/Billing, Massage Therapy, Nursinf degrees, Business Administration
My institution offers a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. I did not have a lot of prior experience in the field of Oriental Medicine so I sat in on classes, had acupuncture treatments in our student clinic and sat down with each department to get as much information about the program as possible.
Cherie,
Product knowledge is key in admissions. In order to fully provide the information needed by the students for their decision, we must be fully informed on the product or program.
Patty Aronoff
Ashley,
Cosmetology is so exciting! There are so many new trends today that it's an excellent opportunity for the students to be creative and serve the community.
Patty Aronoff
Marguerite,
You will also want to add the Department of Health as the other regulatory body that governs your institution. Midwifery must abide by the rules provided by that state agency.
