Lead generation
I welcome any suggestions on how to increase lead generation (aside from whatever marketing plan the institution already has in place).
Blanca,
Community events exposes students and the school to the outside world.
At our institution, we participate in many comunity events which sponsor community awareness and health. We offer many health screenings and this way we acquire leads.
I couldn't agree more with you being in recruiting for 15 years PDL's is one of the best prospecting modes ever. Also as a manager I would utilize COI's (Centers of Influence)basically where potential candidates would frequent eg; high traffic areas like malls, libraries, gyms.
Joel,
We are all walking advertisements when we have our school gear on.
If you are going some place dressed up (other than work) bring your ID badge with and if you run into a store or gas station, put it on. I have had people ask me about ITT just from seeing me wear it.
Dale,
Community involvement is a great way to increase leads.
Katherine,
Most will agree that the personally developed leads are the best! Confidence comes from those who have gone before.
The highest converting leads at our campus are typically referrals from incoming and current students. Ask your students who are in class who they know that might want to come back to school. By now they should have a positive experience, and have probably mentioned it to their friends. Also, having a study buddy is never a bad thing.
going out to bussiness and organzation
Don't forget to ask for those referrals! PDL's are great and if you develop a good rapport with your students, they will recommend you.
Agreed. I consistantly hear from PDL's that the person who referred them has given them alot of details about their personal experience. Many times they tell me they trust the persons judgement who referred them. Building a good relationship with current students is very important for the student and the school. We talk in meetings alot about the building relationship importance.
Sharon,
You are definitely a marketing department on the move!
Sharon,
The personally developed leads are so important. People trust those who have gone before them.
I email the students once a month for referrals, we also run referral contest with current students...it really does help
One of the things I do is to leave a business card everywhere I go...I normally talk about work 24/7, so it just comes up everywhere Im at...I have had many people call me and say I met you at so and so and you gave me your card, Id really like to come in and see your school
Jayleelay,
PDLs can be generated by activities on your campus. A great way to bring in prospective students to enjoy activities with current students.
