Up-to-Date Information
There are many statutes and rules that provide guidelines about running a school that is in compliance. What is your plan for gathering the information and keeping it up to date?
We have systems in place that keeps us well informed and with these training seminars we also have another avenue for staying up to date and current with any possible changes in our industry.

Our institution has several individuals that focus on a variety of compliance issues, which helps the admissions department remain up to date. Since we offer an online RN to BSN program that is approved in multiple states, I think it would be very difficult for one person to remain current with all the information and still be able to perform their daily work requirements. I’m grateful we invest the resources to keep our institution and employees current.
Someone in a prior training had suggested checking regulations on a monthly basis to stay informed and current. Director's should be sure to stay on top of these regulations to ensure staff is knowledgeable and to integrate in their trainings.

I Have a CIE binder that I can refer to whenever needed and to update any new policies or procedures.
My plan is to learn everything I can and stay up to date and not get behind. I am a fairly new school with small classes so have the time right now to do so.

We keep all of our information updated in our resource binders. Also, we meet once a week.
I think keeping a resource binder at your desk is a great idea.

By going to the department of education website in addition to the accrediting agency that pertains to my institution, I will be able to keep up to date with the guidelines and regulations made by the governing bodies.
Jim! keeping a binder to gather all the information needed is a great Idea I would also look for meetings that will keep me informed as well as courses that would help me to be better informed.
