That is definitely a great start, but we have to look for periodic updates whenever they become available.

Being in compliance is necessary for the reputation and the survival of the institution. As stated in the course, admission representatives have to be well-informed by keeping in touch with the respective bodies that are responsible for changing/updating and disseminating the most up-todate information related to admissions.

I plan to have and Admissions "bible" so that I can always refer back to the rules and regs when needed.
In our organization we have a gruop of people in charge of compliance, and plenty of training to keep us up to date about all the new changes, rules and regulations related to admissions
Stephan ,
Good process! We must all work together to keep everyone informed.

I just printed out all the new 2012 forms to be sure I give them to my admissions director to update our academy in our admissions department.
So if any of us at our academy have questions on statutes and rules we will have them printed out in our Admissions resource note book.
These new forms will keep the academy updated and within the guidelines of the state of Florida.
Very helpful
Susan,
You are off to a great start! Your proactive approach will take you places. Start with the CIE and FAPSC websites

As a new Admissions Representative, I plan on trolling for updated information through co-workers, support staff and online resources such as this.
Does anyone else have some great ideas for a newbie?
Becky,
Excellent! There are many organizations to follow that have direct influence over the schools.
Patty Aronoff
Montrez,
FAPSC is a hardworking organization providing your school with many opportunities for learning.
Patty Aronoff
Montrez,
Make it a learning opportunity with the binder. Use it in meetings, have discussions on key points, quiz your staff...
Patty Aronoff
Allen,
I love it! I believe that is a great adage and one to live by!
Patty Aronoff
Daniela,
Agreed! You know where the sources are and how to find the information you need.
Patty Aronoff
Daniela,
Very true! Knowing where to find the knowledge you seek is just as important. Having the resources quickly available to you makes it so much easier.
Patty Aronoff
Alexander,
The benefit of a hard copy is that you are refreshing your learning as you flip through the pages.
Patty Aronoff
Juan,
We can easily get to the information we need when we need it. Electronic formatting gives a quick search feature.
Patty Aronoff
Matiely,
Communication is very important no matter the means. It is important that we communicate in all forms in order to continue to grow as an organization.
Patty Aronoff
Stephen,
You have a great resource in your compliance department. Use them!

Well aside from having a thorough Corporate Office keeping us in line with compliance, we have systems in place that we use on a daily basis that keep us on our toes with what the FLDOE, and NACCAS need from us to surpass our requirements every year.
Plan to stay updated with all statutes and rules with regards to staying in compliance by atending a FAPSC seminar and continue online FAPSC training. I plan to keep a binder os policies and procedures for muyself and representatives to review.
