Promoting Your Institution

Ask for all the methods and strategies that are used to promote your institution to prospective students. What did you discover? Is your institution operating in compliance?

Marketing is in important function of any school. It is your first introduction to your prospective student.

I've found the information in this module helpful. I was not aware that certain verbiage was forbidden. As we expand our marketing and advertising, I can see that we will have to carefully scrutinize everything before we publish or release it.

Working at a small College creates the necessity for all staff members to be up to date on rules and requirements for many different departments. In analyzing the methods and strategies that are used to promote our institution (which as of now includes website, catalog, and brochures) I have found that these pieces are in compliance with the rules. It was interesting in this course, though, to have a refresher on exactly what the requirements are for the catalog, and using those requirements to assess our catalog helped ensure that we have detailed knowledge of exactly what is contained therein.

YES THEY ARE, THEY HAVE TV AND RADIO PROMOTIONS, FLYERS, BROCHURES, THAY EVEN GO TO JOB FAIRS AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE OUR SCHOOL.

We use variety ways to promote the our school to prospective students. We have a marketing and advertising department which handles all marketing.

Yes we are. We do a lot of events showcasing our students. People that have similar interests naturally gravitate towards that.

Its just a form of good honest branding.

We do not exaggerate our merits in advertising or even in informal admissions conversations. I would consider us fully compliant to the best of my knowledge.

Our institution is a small one at that, where we use the outlets of you tube, linked in, Facebook, twitter, school website, TV commercials, and presentations. We designated an actual department in charge of monitoring the activities and information expressed throughout our many advertising outlets and when i personally present to High School students all information matches up exactly. This ensures every employee is delivering consistent information regarding our school.
