We use several forms of advertising and I and others on my staff make sure we are in compliance with the rules and regulations set out by the Commission.
Yes the institution is operating in compliance. The school is making sure that it is not advertising something that it can't uphold.
We promote our school in many ways by going to career events, through giving back to our community, putting on events such as fashion shows, career nights, etc.. Yes, We are in compliance. :)
Our advertising for the size of school is limited to website a 1 TV station. I wish there was a way to create more for less. Mouth to mouth is good but slow.
marta,
I'll information should be backed up by a fact with a resource. This way there is no guessing and all information can be verified.

Brian,
Very exciting news! As you continue to expand you will also need to make sure that your catalog and programming information expands with it. Good luck on your new endeavors.

I find that our school is operating in compliance because it only reports or advertises factual information. Without misleading the audience in any type of way.
We are a small school that is on the verge of expanding. The institution is in compliance. We are currently using social media, out website, and the word of mouth from previous students that had a good experience with the institution.
Elmer,
Word-of-mouth is the best advertisement out there. When you have a satisfied customer, they will tell the world.

Brandon,
Marketing and advertising is held to a high standard by the state of Florida. They want to make sure that all information is clear and there is no misleading information.

We have found that our best marketing strategy is to deliver a high quality program and increase our profile through word of mouth of our students and alumni.
Typically advertising and marketing plans are created by the institution owner, marketing department, admissions director, or a third-party marketing or lead-generation company. Be sure to ask for details so you know how and what prospective students learn about your institution. There are penalties against the institution when these requirements are not followed (6E-2.0061 Actions Against a Licensee; Penalties).
lisandra,
Providing a very compliant institution brings you a great place to work. The security of regulations and solid processes is the best place to be.
Patty Aronoff

Jaclyn,
You will find that the community connection is a great one to have. There's also an opportunity to build your brand awareness within the area that your students will be employed as well as brand awareness for prospective students.

Our academy is getting a great response since joining our local chamber of commerce and participating in its activities.
Jim,
Absolutely! When using websites make sure that the information matches what's in the catalog. All Information must be up-to-date.

We're a start-up small school that will primarily rely on our website and related internet advertising to increase awareness of our training programs. We recognize the responsibility to be truthful and transparent.
Karen,
Excellent! A clear and consistent message is integral in admissions. No matter who they speak with, the message should be the same.
Patty Aronoff
Elicia,
Unfortunately the use of a term state-of-the-art is prohibited by the commission. You will need to find new verbiage to describe your exciting new school.
