Students seem to appreciate us sharing graduation and placement rates with them. It shows that we are fully disclosing all details about our program so hopefully they can make an educated decision on whether to attend our institute or not.

I always find that some individuals do not think to ask about this as a means of evaluating programs however they are very interested when the information is presented to them. Monitoring the graduation rates, allows for us to identify areas where we may need to take a different approach in instruction or content to maintain quality outcomes. Monitoring placement rates allows us to continue to monitor our network connections and keep our career assistance information updated with current happenings. Knowing that these are published results being shared with prospective students serves as quality measures for organization and program. The information is helpful in discussion with individuals during the assurance of a good fit - if they are excited by a certain area we can discuss trends and requirements alongside their background/experience to identify realistic expectations/plan to reach outcome. For some individuals this identifies areas that need to be considered or other programs that are a better fit. For all individual it provides details for informed decision making and committment to program.

Compared to the national average my campus trends around a 71% retention rate. We are proud of the efforts we go to in supporting our students. Prospective students frequently call in for information because they saw this percentage listed on the FAFSA.

I have. In a case where students were torn between 2 programs, I have seen them choose the program with the best graduation and placement rates.

Many times the student is confident in their own abilities, so that lower placement and salaries in their program of interest don't deter them. Parents are usually the ones who become uncomfortable with lower rates, and try to steer their kids to more "secure" programs.

I have seen students start to move toward programs that have higher graduation rates and placement rates because they see the program as a chance to have more success in the future. In order to raise the graduation rates for certain programs, the institution as offered more tutoring and options to receive more one on one attention from instructors. Also, more emphasis has been placed on career development to help with placement. Students are now required to do things like create a portfolio or go through mock interviews as a part of the programs curriculum.

I havent noticed any changes. I think the student's are just happy to see the rates for their own program.

Our business program has always had the lowest graduation rates for our school and the students do notice and ask. I simply tell them that often times when a student doesn't know what program to choose but they really want to enroll in school they choose business. Therefore, the graduation rates are lower because their heart isn't in it when they enroll. This also helps the student in front of me decide if this is really what they want to do.

I always take the approach that my role is to inform which includes providing appropriate sources like the federal Bureau of Labor for info on salaries. Students have to make their own decisions, but I strive to ensure they're pursuing a program that aligns with their interest.

We train dental assistants and have found that dentists are in need of more than one, sometimes three or four. As a result, there is a greater interest in these programs.

We have notices any recruitment changes or changes in the enrollment process by programs. However, our 4 programs are very similar in graduation rates and placement rates because they are in the medical field. Therefore, we are in a very good field for both of these outcomes.

in most cases the students i work with usually know the field they want to get into but i discuss some of the pros and cons in looking at some programs but let them know that after being made aware for the Grauation and placement rates that they are the ones who want to think about their choice and ask me more questions if needed.

Students want to have some confidence that they will be able find employment after they graduate.

I have not noticed a difference in this, however it makes it easy for me to discuss while in high schools talking to perspective students.

I agree, Although the graduation and placement rates are important. It is equally importtant fr the admission representative to give the correct information to the perspective students.

Students are more aware of placement rates, and seem to be more informed for the placement rates
of various organizations

I notice that more prospective students are taking the placement and graduation rates more seriously. I notice that more students are taking that into consideration when picking a program, especially since the job market has become more difficult.

Our placement and graduation rates are very good so students feel very confident in enrolling with us.
