Course Curriculum and descriptions. Students often want to see exactly what classes they will be taking.

Tatiana,

The course catalog provides the information you need as a student and faculty member, including admission requirements, course requirements for each degree and major, tuition and financial aid information, university policies and more. It is one the most important documents on a school campus.

Cindy Bryant

All the time, we rely on the catalog to the information to students. Similarly indicates that they find it in the web pag and are sent to email.

The most frequent details from the catalog that I utilize would be course curriculum details and the admissions process, which outlines the requirements for a student to be accepted into the University and/or specific programs.

Programs: For the course descriptions

Length of Program: To find out if program is a 2 year or 12 month program

How many credit hours in program: To educate the student regarding

The way that we create our promotions it is always looking for creativity without deceiving or misrepresenting any one of the benefits of our academy. This topic it is commonly discuss in our daily basis. New enrollments can not be under false pretentious. That for sure won't last longer.

Abe,

I am sure that this is a lot of material to digest in two days. Based on your comments throughout the forum you have an excellent grasp on your colleges purpose.

Cindy Bryant

Having worked here for a grand total of two days, I'm not entirely certain, but I'm going to guess that the most useful information to the prospective students I'll be speaking with will likely be graduatoin rates, prospective careers following each program, and other metrics and descriptive data. Hard data doesn't lie, and thus can't be argued with. This data will be a great ally in recruitmen.

Alicia,

How creative, I never thought about a picture as a way to send a message to students BUT the federal government did...Your catalog must reflect the life at your campus meaning that if you are a branch you can't use the main campus as an image in your catalog without pointing out that it is the main campus.

Cindy Bryant

the picture! yesterday, we had a meeting and we wanted to send the right message through our images. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

I was just trained for my new job and for us it's extremely important to know all the specifics about our programs, including credits, hours, and which programs are offered in different locations. These are probably the most frequent questions coming from students.

Daily references are made to the course catalog in terms of outlining the classes that a student will have to take, the credit hours necessary to graduate as well as the procedures in place to assist them while enrolled.
We also in our rep meetings review pages in the catalog to remain current and any changes or addendums are addressed immediately to ensure that correct information is always being provided to the prospective student.

Dress code, is one of our most referenced topics in catalogs because there are always students trying to get away with not being in uniform. and then say they didnt know.

Ana,

Do you find that prospective students appreciate you taking the time to go through the catalog with them? Do you find it beneficial from a compliance standpoint to slow-down and explain the catalog in greater detail?

Cindy Bryant

THE ADMISSIONS PORTION.

The admissions minimum requirements, English proficiency, Toefl score, proof of prior education, under and graduate programs, course by course information

William,

Team meetings are a wonderful venue for sharing information. The advantage of reviewing information in a group setting is that the message is consistently delivered to everyone.

Cindy Bryant

Yes, I agree. The College Catalogue is the bible to success not only for us but for our students as well.

Having team meetings and reviewing with the team is the best way to get everyone on the same page.

Yes, policy, procedures, and disclosure are the most difficult things to get our potential students to understand. Having a better understanding of these is beneficial when we have to explain some of these in a way to get them to unstand.

The most common source of questions, results in our attendance policy and guidelines. Students are always concerned if they miss a day how that will impact their overall grade and how to stay on top of their courseload in the case of them getting behind.
