Expectations that I have for my students:
1.Be on time (relate this how this would be on the job)
2.Ask questions
3.Be a professional (this would dress, communication, ex.)
4.Have a positive attitude

Expectations for me:
1.Be on time (before class starts)
2.Able to answer questions, if not know where to get the answer
3.Will push students hard in lab and class (I have seen many students not realize that they can be successful in what they do)
4.Open the lines for communication (give the students email address, web address for study).

First and foremost is attendance. Do not just physically show up. Stay alert, take notes and ask questions.
Show respect and common courtesy. In this environment, there is no greater distraction to the learning environment than interruptions and side talking.
Positive attitude is paramount. Trust the process. Do not prejudge what you think does not apply. If it does not seem to apply than ask questions.
I always ask them for their expectations from me. I tell them that I will be on time. I will show respect toward them. If I do not know an answer to a question I will find the answer and get back to them.

Sounds like a fair and excellent plan. I bet your students appreciate your honesty!

Susan

Attendence, on time if your going to be late call & let me know. Participate, I can only do so much, the student has to do the rest. Ask questions, if they sit there & be quiet I tell them up front I will get them to ask questions.

To help them, by this I mean to show them where to go to get the answers so they will have that knowledge. Be on time & not disappear, I let them know where I am going if I have to leave for a couple of minutes. Be prepared, don't give them a song & dance when if I have not prepared.

Three thing I expect from the are proper uniforms,Work shoes, and to follow rules and regulations.Three things they should expect from me is to give them the best information I can give them, I will respect them, and I will at least teach them as much as I can in the alloted time given.

I TELL THEM I EXPECT THEM TO BE ON TIME ,PAY ATTENTION AND TRY TO LEARN. I TELL THEM I WILL ALWAYS BE ON TIME, I WILL TRY TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION THEY ASK AND THAT I WILL GIVE THEM MORE THAN THEIR MONEYS WORTH AND MORE THAN THEY EXPECT. THEY ALL KNOW I MEAN IT!!!!!

. Show up on time.
2. Be prepared for class.
3. Want to learn and work hard

You need to be on time
you need to stay awake
I expect 100 % effort from every one

The student should expect me to
Answer any and all questions and if I can't answer it I will find an answer

Give all nessasary information for them to be prepaired for tests and lab tasks

Give them help when they need it

Three things the students need to gain from the first day in class. Promptness, Do their own work. Follow the Keys to Success. there are others that are not listed in KTS.

William--

Great points. Easy to remember and shows that theyh will be have to work for it and that you will be there for them.

Steven--

Your courtesy expectations are especially great and have direct application to the workplace. Helping students to learn to get along with others of different ages and backgrounds is a skill they will use the rest of their life.

There are probably more than three expectations that this school has for the students. Show up on time and attend the whole three week session without missing any time. Another would be come to class prepared to learn and have any assignments completed before coming to class. Third would be dress: proper clothing that is clean, good personal hygiene, safety glasses and bringing tools/meters as needed for classroom and lab activities.
The instructor should provide a complete and concise outline of the course on the first day, the instructor should review the quizzes ,tests, and assignments to see that they match the curriculum and book materials. The instructor also needs to share their personal experiences and listen to the students' experiences as well. The instructor also needs to be accessable before and after class and any time that is reasonable to provide additional tutoring.

It is my resonsibility as the instructor of the class to maintain a good learning environment and that I expect every student to show courtesy to and be considerate of one another.

I explain when web and homework assignments are required to be completed and why it is important to be done on time. I also make it clear what the consequences are if the assignments are not completed on time. I also let the students know that if they are having difficulty that I am available to help them but that they must let me know of their needs.

I always promise my students that I will put forth my best effort to present the material in a clear and informative manner but unless they put forth their best effort to learn they may not realize their full potential.

I tell students that I expect them to work in this class, both in class and lab. I also expect them to keep our lab area clean. I explain that when I was working I was responsible for my area, and it reflected on my work. I also let them know that I will teach them alot in 3 weeks, and it's up to them to keep up.

To be on time, carry their safety glasses and badges, books and check the board for the daily schedule. From me they should know I am approachable, knowledgeable, and consistent in actions.

Always on time,Be prepared, books, dress attire, attitude,They should expect knowledge, someone they can come to for help and finally, knowing they will get there moneys worth.

I expect them to be professional in their approach to training: To be on time, To be prepared with class assignments and To have a Positive Mental Attitude. The things that I like for students to expect from me are: That I will be there before class to help and guide them. To know that there is always an open door policy in my class room and that I am a part of the team and my success and their success rest with us working together as a team. They can expect to be just as important on the the last day of the course as they were on the first day of the course and that I care .
