Hi Audie,
Students really do enjoy watching videos that pertain to the subject matter. Every chance I get, I show a video to my students. Videos are a nice break from all the lecture.

Hi Ricky,
Sitting in on other instructors' classes can be very valuable. It is amazing the pointers/techniques you can pick up from others. Continue to try your hardest at being the very best instructor.
Patricia
Hi Duane,
We can becom complacent. We must accept change, and we must be willing to try new things.
Patricia
Stay on track with the material on that day for as long as need to insure the student that they got out of the lesson what they were supposed too. A better method would be a vidieo on the subject matter for that days lesson plan that is related to the topic. The other is to make sure that you have a plan of what they feel is important for topic of the day. Anything that can be related about the subject matter that they have had to deal with.

I think that the method varies greatly with each class however i think as humans We tend to resist change. If We dont try new ways to deliver information We tend to quit evolving in our delivery methods. Keep trying new ways!!!
Sometimes I sit in with other classes and see how they deliver the course objectives or material. See what I can pick up on to make myself a better instructor or facilitator.
Hi Andrew,
Students can tell immediately whenever you are confident in what you're teaching. You must prepare so that you come across to students as being very confident.
Patricia
I stay on top of new and up to date information in the course of study I teach. This helps me with the subject and I have found that the more fermilur with the subject I am the better the presentation to the students. This is due to being confident with the meterial and the delivery while being confident in your subject is felt by the student. they react to this in every way.
Hi James,
We must continue to be lifelong learners.
Patricia
Hi Peter,
So much can be learned from observing other educators. We all have our different styles of teaching. We must continue to feed off of each other.
Patricia
Hi Steve,
Most instructors do strive to do their best, and getting feedback is of the utmost importance.
Patricia
Hi C.C.,
Students always love it whenever you can relate the subject matter to real life. Staying current on the subject matter is very important. Continue to impress your students by staying up to date.
Patricia
I like to try and sit in on other instructors classes. It gives you perspective on how you deliver the same material,vs the other guy.Often, you can pick up pointers. It helps, too,to go to training classes,or seminars on what you already teach,to see if what you are delivering is up to date compared to what is being offered in the field.
I always try to stay current with the subject matter and relay how this is usable in real life to make aliving or for their weekend hobby. Keeping trained with up to date material
I ask for Feed Back.
I think most instructors Do there best.
Continue technical training. Study feedback from students and managers and adjust accordingly. Continue to evaluate the demographics of each class to allow for delivery of curriculum.
Always treat your student as your equal.
I always try and give my personal take on a subject instead of just "Reading" the presentations to the students.
I also give specific experiences from my past that relate to the topic so they know I am more than just someone trained to deliver a canned presentation.
I also talk about specific training I have had over my career, and how, as Techs, we usually have to bring that training back to the shop to train the other Techs we work with.
Developing a better foundation for working with a wide variety of people.
Through various courses and training like the CEE we get an opportunity to look at the different techniques available to us, Coupled with the vast experiences and styles of the other instructors around us we all have the resources to fine tune our delivery methods to meet all the different learning styles and evironments we see. As far as where most instructors using help I feel it would be with breaking down the communication barriers between team members and exploring those different syles and feeling free to adapt and share as necessary for the benifit of the student and organization.
Observation of differant instructors delevery techniques is always very helpful in picking up presentation styles that work and then adjust to fit my style of instruction. Also I find that CEE modules are very helpful in fine tuning delivery techniques to fit differant situations.
